“The Sinless Savior”

1 John 3:5

[5] And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.

This verse contains two wonderful truths about our Savior. The first truth is, that he came to take away our sins. The second truth is, that he was sinless. Had Jesus not been sinless, he could have never taken our sins away. John says we know both of these to be a fact because his life was manifested before us. Jesus lived a sinless life for all the world to see. Though the Pharisees and others tried to destroy him, and find fault, they failed. Pilate himself declared, “I find no fault in him”.

The Gospels also declared his sinless life, and his death on the cross. They tell how he was buried, and three days later he arose victorious over death, hell and the grave. He could not have done this had he not been the perfect sacrifice. He is the only begotten Son of God! He is the Lamb of God! He is our redeemer and Lord!

What peace we find in this sinless Savior! He took all of our sins away. As the song writer stated, “my sins not in part, but the whole, have been nailed to the cross, and I bear them no more”. This includes our past, present and future sins. We are no longer under the bondage of sin. We have been set free through Jesus Christ.

Make it your goal today to tell someone about Christ. Many are slaves to sin, and we have the answer to their freedom. Share the gospel message of Christ with someone you come in contact with today. Tell them about a sinless Savior who died to rescue them from the bondage of sin. Tell them of his love and mercy that has been extended to their soul. Tell them how he is willing to save them, if they will trust him with all their heart.
