“The Peacemaker”

James 3:18 KJV

[18] “And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.”

I want to consider them that make peace. The peacemaker is someone who understands the values of unity among the saints. Their goal is to bring people together instead of dividing them. They look for ways to avoid or end any trace of strife that might come up. The peacemaker lives peacefully and enjoys the good things life has to offer. When you practice spreading peace, you can live in peace.

Those who make peace are known by their words. You never have to worry about them creating division within the church. They have a kind, positive spirit. Saints love to be around peacemakers because they build up the brethren instead of tearing them down. The words of a peacemaker can calm others when they are distressed or filled with anxiety. A few encouraging words can change the atmosphere and perspective of others.

The peacemaker is known for their works. They express love in action and are willing to go the extra mile to listen to the needs or complaints of others. They show their desire for peace by attempting to end strife among the brethren. They do not gravitate toward just one group of people in the church. They spread peace through their fellowship and love for all the saints.

Finally, a peacemaker is known for their worship. God blesses those who strive to keep peace in the church by blessing their worship. They receive the full blessings of God in a service because their worship is not hindered by division, jealousy, or a guilty conscience. They are spreading peace, so they live in peace.
