“Brute Beasts”

Jude 10 KJV

[10] “But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.”

Apostates corrupt the public standards of society and the personal standards of individuals. These men may have doctorate degrees from highly respected universities, but they are ignorant of the spiritual things of God. They are crafty men having a lot of charisma, but the Scriptures call them brute beasts. Underneath all the wit, personality, and charm, they are ravaging wolves who will stop at nothing to fulfill their wicked desires. Our verse reminds us that they are corrupt themselves.

There are a lot of these brute beasts today in our society. They will spring up a one-name church sign with no doctrinal affiliation attached. They may say they are Baptist in doctrine but will leave it off the sign hoping they can reach everyone in the community. They use different versions of the Bible and correct the King James Bible by saying it is outdated. They claim that any preacher who preaches boldly against sin is full of wrath and arrogance. They present a watered-down gospel that requires no repentance, only head knowledge. They never mention being under conviction for salvation or a changed life after conversion. It is “come as you are and leave as you were” at these churches.

I challenge you to look closer at these men whom the Bible calls brute beasts. Examine their teaching, their lives, and their agenda. If a man claims that we have no final authority of the Scriptures and we can use many different versions, please note that he is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. When he conceals his doctrine from society to grow a crowd, it reveals his agenda. He is not about ministry, but he is about money. He is not about people, but he is about popularity and prosperity. We cannot allow the brute beasts of our day to rob us of the truth. Stay with what has been tested, tried, and proven!
