Jude 14 KJV
[14] “And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,”
Sometimes we feel that this world is growing darker by the day. It seems more difficult now to find a bright spot in society. If you turn on the news, listen to the radio, or watch the Internet, you will not find much encouragement in our world today. The world has nothing positive to announce.
The reason is simple, they are in darkness and cannot offer peace without knowing the Prince of Peace. Enoch was living in a very dark day. Society was growing further and further away from God. People were living in sin and enjoying their wickedness, just like today.
Discouragement would have been as easy in Enoch’s time as it is in our world today. However, Enoch had a bright word in a dark hour. He received a prophecy that would give hope to his generation and the generations to come in the future. Enoch declared it in his day, and Jude echoed the same words in his time.
Not only did they find a bright word in a dark hour, but you and I, dear reader, can also find encouragement from these words today. The message is clear and simple, Jesus is coming soon! He is coming first in the rapture, and then He will come in the revelation. We, the church, will be taken out of this world, and then, God will pour His wrath upon it. He will destroy the satanic trinity, restore the nation of Israel, and redeem this earth from the curse. He will then set up His kingdom for one thousand glorious years.
What a day that will be when Jesus rules here on this earth! The world may look dark now, but a brighter day is coming! With each passing day, we are getting closer to His coming. The reality is that it could happen at any moment. Dear reader, we must be prepared, not just in salvation, but in our service. We must encourage others to be ready and watch for the Lord‘s return. That is the bright word in a dark hour that we must share with others. We must encourage one another to stay the course and stand on the truth of God‘s Word. Our focus must be on Christ and Him alone in these last days. Let me remind you that when He comes the second time to this earth, He will be coming with His saints!
