“God Always Has a Plan”

1 Peter 1:20 KJV

[20] “who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,”

When Adam and Eve sinned in the garden, their entire world changed. Sin had opened their eyes, and they immediately left the state of innocence and entered the state of consciousness. They became sinners and would soon have to face the consequences of their sin. I’m sure they waited fearfully for the presence of God to come walking through the garden. I am sure their hearts were heavy, not knowing the judgment awaiting them.

Satan waited as he watched them try to sew fig leaves together and cover their sin. With a wicked grin, the serpent watched their feeble efforts, knowing that it would never justify them in the presence of the Almighty. After all, Satan was not waging war on man but on God. God had cast him out of heaven because of his sinful pride.

When God came calling for Adam, fear gripped his heart because he knew his actions were unacceptable before God. Satan felt victorious because his plan had worked in deceiving this couple, and now he watched intensely, hoping to shatter the heart of God. It would give him great joy to watch God destroy his own creation. Satan had caught man unawares with his evil plot, and now he thought he would surprise the God of Heaven. However, we know that God is never surprised!

I am so thankful that God had a plan before the devil had a plot! He made provision before Adam was created or sinned in the garden. Before the foundation of the world, God already had the plan of redemption in place. God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit were all in perfect harmony that they would redeem fallen man! As God walked in the garden that day, He cursed the devil, covered sinful man, and declared that a Redeemer would come!

Dear reader, if God had a plan for Adam, He has a plan for you today. It begins at Calvary and ends in glory. We should not fret about our lives because God always has a plan. You may have fallen and messed up your world, but remember, God will not fail you. He will forgive you of your sins and make a way for you to go on living for Him. I encourage you to rest in His ways, knowing He is in control.
